Gas safety inspection certificates
Since 1996 it has been mandatory for any landlord (i.e. anyone renting all or part of a property) to obtain a Landlord Gas Safety Certificate annually.
Every abcgas engineer is Gas Safe registered and therefore qualified to undertake such gas safety inspections. We conduct a thorough inspection of all pipes and household gas appliances (this includes gas boilers, ovens, hobs and gas fires) on your premises as follows:
- All appliances checked for ‘gas tightness’
- Any evidence of unsafe operation identified and reported
- Burner pressure/gas rate gauged against manufacturer’s guidelines
- Flue flow examined to ensure removal of combustion products
- Satisfactory working of all flame failure devices noted
- Where appropriate, the presence, effectiveness and physical stability of stability brackets is recorded
- Ventilation checked to ensure it meets with requirements
- Standing and working pressures gauged (assuming test points are available)
